Project Party Seeks Volunteers Jan. 23

Volunteers do great things!

Get involved a make a difference in the world!  Start by coming to the 3rd annual Lift Johnstown Project Party any time between noon and 7 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in Downtown Johnstown.

Non-profits from a 5-county region will be recruiting volunteers, so individuals can learn about the widely varied ways to get involved.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at the event and throughout the day there will be music, presentations, food for purchase and free light refreshments will be served by area school culinary arts students showcasing their programs. In addition, don't miss it -- Lift Johnstown will make its 2nd Volunteer Spotlight Award presentation to a worthy area volunteer.

Table set ups are free to all non-profits and the event is free and open to the general public. Who should attend? Students seeking service hours, retired citizens with time to share, church groups reaching out, parents teaching children to give back or pay it forward, anyone who wants to make a difference in their community, people who want to participate in fun projects and share their skills and talents.
